We've had a lot of fun with the Safepul pallet puller colour variant.
When we started this product we got the colours just right. The Red Hook and orange strap has worked really well for the Safepul brand.
Still, we wanted to offer alternative colours to give the product a bit more variation. The yellow hook with black or grey straps works really well.
Also, Surprisingly the blue hook worked well with the yellow strap. We think that football colours played a part.
We may try and keep some of these combinations.
We have been hit with steel prices doubling in the last year.
We have done our best to maintain the prices we started this product with on day one. It's been 10 years plus. However we will need to revise this going forward.
The Safepul pallet puller really holds its value with companies getting many years use from our products.
On a leaflet drop, A company that purchased from the Screwfix promotion still had our puller sitting on the back of the forklift. This was going back possibly 6 years plus. Was a great lift to see the product giving such a long service to this company..
The Screwfix promotion is closed.. purchase at Safepul.com and Amazon.
We do hope our customers understand the price increases, should we need to do this very soon.
The colour variants could become rare items.
Feel free to suggest a colour combination if you don't see the preferred variant. We may have a few options in stock.
Thanking all our customers for staying with us and seeing the Safepul pallet puller design addition to material handling tools.
We finally have Brand Registry with Amazon.
But what's all the fuss ? Why did we apply for Brand Registry ?
Well, In order to setup a store at Amazon, You need to have Brand Registry. You can then create Ads, Gain access to Amazon brand analytics, Repeat Purchase Behaviour.
And this without FBA (fulfilment by Amazon, Where Amazon stock your product and ship on sale)
It's hasn't aways been smooth sailing with Amazon Sellers. It's taken some time to get to this position. I am very cautious with what will happen next on this Amazon platform.
Brand Registry was first refused. It took a lot of digging and finally a really good Amazon assistant to get us on the right track.
And whilst i'm not allowed to give out this persons details.
I will do my best to help you, if you need. (with no guarantees of success)
Do you have any frustrations, Or are you over the moon with Amazon. As a small business seller, Can you really ignore the size and reach of this massive company ?

]]>We've said from day one that it was time the pallet puller had its day in the logistics game.
Let the games begin. Not tucked away in the dark corridors of search engines, But standing tall amongst some of the best logistics tools on the market.
How else can you pull a pallet to the reach of the forklift with a safe tool ?
Safepul Pallet Puller, Designed to carry out pallet extraction on our delivery vehicles, This action is taking place at our goods-in yard's around the world as we speak.
Why did we trademark ?

Plus the Sale of forklift trucks doubling in the UK alone over the last four years
The amount of companies supporting and contributing to this industry (you can be assured) is massive. Much like the car industry.
Our tool (The Safepul Pallet Puller ) is also playing a very important role in the forklift industry, Giving me a proud smile.
And yet, The pallet puller tool doesn't play such a great part in logistics discussions.
Why is that ? I hear you ask... Or you may not ask... which inadvertently makes my point.
So are so many tools or components out there that without, Could change the nature of how things are done at work. So it is expected that some tools are missed in our discussions.
But when you get a tool that without which you would struggle to offload your palleted cargo, It's time for a spotlight to come on.
For instance, Let take a look at the big pallet distributers.
In so many cases, The larger distributers loading vehicles in a large haulage yard for the forklift to strategically manoeuvre accessing both sides of the truck is an impressive site to behold.
Not to mention trucks on a loading bay where the forklift can use the level platform to drive right inside the truck to place a pallet.
Focusing still on the larger truck. When it comes to offloading, The game can be a little different.
Whilst we have equally great offloading sites out there, Some of our great business sites are much smaller.
This can add considerable time to the offloading process in some yards. The site is tasked with finding the best place for the truck to park allowing access to the vehicles cargo ?
Once the truck is placed, Offloading can begin. With larger trucks without a curtain side, The pallet truck is sometimes lifted onto the bed of the truck to aid getting the pallets to the reach of the forklift.
This is where our pallet puller can play a part, Specially with the first half of the trucks cargo where manovering a pallet truck can be tight.
Pullers can be a great alternative to the pallet truck. (We have made custom straps for reaching deeper into these trucks).
Pallet puller provides valuable speed in offloading unavailable to other pallet tool extractions.
But why the secrecy ?
Well its not really a secret, But why don't we hear more about pallet pullers ?
Are you on a site where the curtain-sider vehicle has to reverse out of the site and turn round to access the other side ?
Without this tool, Deliveries can take twice as long.
The pallet puller has a firm place in the industry.
I am so proud to offer a safe contribution to this process.
Pallet Pullers, It's your turn to take a bow...

Music has always been my most important entertainment when traveling, Whether it be work or recreational. I must add that a good podcast does wonders, but it has to be a subject and presenter that can really engage you.
When you go back to music it must be something that gives you that emotional lift. The regular chart playlists bore me ridged. They mostly tend to feature the current chart stuff.
I need to be challenged and educated. Having done a fare bit of D.J ing over the years I occasionally added a surprise for my customers with tracks they hadn’t heard for ages. I was really digging into my own knowledge of tracks I loved. Obviously at a party your job is to keep everyone happy. But when you want to entertain outside party mode, it's a mixture of memories emotions and new music awareness.
Over the years I’ve amassed so much music. Its time a started pulling together the cream of my collection with a few surprises thrown in. And believe, Its surprised me that so many artists i've yet to discover together with the old favourites. You will soon get a flavour of my style.
I am the Backstreet DJ and these playlists are the very essence of my life's listening.

]]>When I started this business my focus was on selling to the courier world.
I hadn’t considered the larger world of moving pallets.
I soon learned regardless of what industry you are in, If you're moving pallets, You could be a Safepul customer.
I have been so blessed in my role as a courier to experience so many areas of industry that transport goods.
The Pallet Puller project was born of my day job. I was fascinated with the companies I delivered to.
Often pondering and sometimes asking:
What did they make ?
How did their products or services fit into the market ?
How did they get started ?
And what was the market like today ?
Connecting with people in a inquisitive but respectful way. I was often given a guided tour. Safepul retains this thirst for knowledge. I love hearing about the stories behind business. Sharing stories is a great way of networking.
My recent visit to the great IMHX show in Birminghams NEC had me like a kid in a candy shop. Sometimes forgetting that the guys and girls are there to sell.
I could have easily returned with a few state of the art forklift trucks,
Or new mechanical gadgets that would have been a nightmare storing...
Many thank's to Logistics Business Magazine for inviting me. The interaction, understanding and respect they have for the industry is really impressive.

]]>This is a basic guide to using the Pallet Puller.
I sincerely hope this article has been helpful.
]]>As a designer, inventor, its important to try and get the best of your ideas, so that we can provide a useful service to the end user.
When I invented my version of the Pallet Puller I found it so difficult obtaining regulatory guidance to inform my customers.
So what is the industry saying about pallet pulling ? I’m afraid not much.
HSE say this procedure isn’t on their radar. I understand this is because they don’t have any conclusive data suggesting pulling pallets is a problem. So with no direct correlation to any accidents identifying pulling pallets and forklift trucks, it remains for us designers and the intending users to lead the industry into agreeing an acceptable regulatory standard.
So, Here I am again following up on my previous article. “What pallet puller”
With much research and soul searching, I’ve decided to provide my guide to using a Pallet Puller.
Provides a much needed service when delivering multi pallets to site. It’s not unusual to have some pallets remain out of reach to the forks on the forklift. The pallet puller tool is then used to pull the pallets (with the aid of the forklift) to the reach of the forks.
This is predominately an action for vans. For the bigger trucks and the larger logistics networks, Pallet pulling isn’t a big problem given the sophisticated machinery at their disposal and space in the yards to access the curtainsider trucks.
However when and if the truck needs to deliver to the smaller business units, then a different offloading manoeuvre may be required. In the cases of the curtainsider truck the driver may need to back out of the yard, Turn around to offload the other side of the truck.
I should add, You can buy fork extensions (2 extended fork shoes that slide onto the end of the forks) to help the forks reach for the distant pallet. Or you can use a pallet puller.
The pallet puller is a regular applied action with multi pallet carrying transit and Sprinter type vans.
There is no guidance regulation or advise given to forklift truck drivers including no referencing to this action in forklift training manuals.
So please read this as the first and probably only Guide to using a Pallet Puller.
Lets take a look at this…
Will the pallet puller you seek to purchase have a maximum pulling capacity guidance in the purchase spec for you to determine its capability ?
Does the product display clear guidance on its use ?
The device may come with a strap/chain attachment (however this is not always the case).
Always best to do a risk assessment before carrying out the action of pulling pallets.
Guidance on risk assessments is available at the end of this document.
Always check the area of the yard that you intend to carry this action out.
Do you have sufficient safe space for the forklift to pull ?
Is the ground sufficiently dry and grip worthy for the forklift to carry out the action ?
Is the ground sufficiently flat and level for the forklift to carry out this action ?
Make sure the floor of the vehicle is level and reasonably smooth for the action of pulling pallets.
Firmly attach your Puller to the pallet
The attachment to the forklift truck is a grey area with this tool.
The Forklift truck authorities don’t talk much about pallet pullers.
However when pushed they will admit they know the pallet puller action takes place.
Some pallet puller users go for a lower point on the safety grill to attach the strap or chain.
Caution: With so many forklift trucks out there, The safety grill in NOT always conducive to carrying out this action.
Please be sure before acting that you don’t attach to any mechanical hydraulics of the truck which could result in damage to the truck.
Again, The industry say there are so many forklifts out there, Advising on this action would prove difficult.
Your forklift might not have a safety grill. Please be very careful when deciding the anchor point of the strap or chain. If you don’t have a clear or safe point to anchor, Best to not attempt using a pallet puller. Please note there are some grills that are lightly bolted on so please check this in your assessment and don’t attach if in doubt. This could damage your forklift truck.
Make sure the floor of the vehicle is level and reasonably smooth for the action of pulling pallets.
When you're fully attached to the pallet and the forklift, Make sure any personnel stand well (metres) away from the forklift and the pallet before pulling. No personnel on the palleted vehicle, Stand way off to the side of the pallet. Or meters away from the forklift truck. A safe distance can be determined at your risk assessment.
Slowly make the strap or chain taut before pulling.
The pulling action should be slow and smooth, without any jerking actions.
Be sure the forklift has stopped before de-rigging the pallet puller. Given that we are all generally safe in carrying out this action. I suggest we keep up the high standards ensuring staff safety.
It has been suggested that this responsibility rests with management. A guide to caring out a risk assessment in the workplace can be found at https://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg163.pdf
Having done this you are better placed to continue productivity in your workplace in the knowledge you have your workers best interest and safety in mind.
I sincerely hope the above article has been helpful.
Let me know. At www.safepul.com
Continue to be safe in this action….

I have written about pallet pullers in Logistics Business. Having designed a tool that covered what I did every day as a delivery driver.
I was really surprised the industry didn’t talk about or advise on this action. This will change right here.
Safepul Ltd is proud to be a leader in the pallet puller industry. We talk openly about using a tool being a safer way to pull pallets. We understand many companies recognise the action and then struggle to find guidelines. I have done some research on this and can assure you that using a tool is a preferred action together with a risk assessment on how you intend to carry this out. I will write again about this in the near future.
Speak to your drivers about this. How do they currently get "out of reach pallets" to the reach of the forklift ?
I would love your feedback on this question.
Safepul.com our pallet puller is compatible with most wooden pallets.
We are aware of some plastic pallets with a wider stump and will be addressing this in future designs. Interested ? Lets Talk.

So here we have a industry specific tool.
offering a safer procedure to a rope or

Small update 2019 below
Thanks to a mighty tool store Screwfix. A new product is born. Ok i hear you say,
Does it work with my iPhone ?
Can i attach it to my tool belt ?
Sorry, this is a tool you might be aware of, or gave up on, many years
back.. Speak to a pallet courier or delivery driver in any part of the
country and in any country in the world (stretching it a bit, but you get my
point) they will say:
Pallet Puller ? i get it, I use a rope or strap
The forklift industry have long overlooked this action. You have a pallet out of reach of the
forklift truck, You cant use the pallet truck or pump truck as its known, because you drive a
Transit, Sprinter or Crafter type van. Also you cant put a pallet truck on these vehicles.
Not only is it too small to manoeuvre a pallet around but
the plylined floor bed wont support the weight of the
pallet truck.
So what do i do ? I hear you ask, well in the past you got
a rope and you got on with it, as most couriers will tell
you.
Strapping the rope or strap around the front stump,
leading it back to the forklift, Threading it through the
best anchor point and then holding on whilst the truck
goes into reverse.
Or you can search the internet for a safer device.
Unfortunately, having found your best choice device, it
then becomes very difficult to get a clear description of
how it works.
Not anymore.. Kevin Antony, courier, entrepreneur. has
come up with a device that not only does the job but
explains how to use it safely.
So here we have a industry specific tool.
offering a safer procedure to a rope or
strap.
Safepul’s elongated hook going to the
central stump, (Given that the front stump
can give way ) Thus providing better weight
distribution. The strap anchoring on a safe point of the forklift
with a safety hook. Stand back in a safe position and Bobs
your uncle, or certainly a relative you will visit regularly
.
It should be said that JCB saw this coming many years back
and decided to go it alone with a great design. The Teletruk
with its telescopic boom launched in 1997. Provides a mast that can reach into the vehicle to
retrieve its palleted cargo. Saving time at the industrial units with minimal space to manoeuvre.
However the traditional forklift remains very strong with the industry turning over multi billions of
dollars around the world.
So what is the industry saying about the Pallet Puller ?
Nothing as yet, But time will tell.
Pallet pulling is a recognised action, with very little or even No discussion in the industry.
Does this mean its confined to the annuals of the unexplained.
Watch this space.
Safepul Pallet Puller is also available at Van Extras and Parrs
